Welcome to Shipham AFC
About Shipham AFC
Welcome to the website of the new revived Shipham AFC 1st team
In January 2023 Shipham 1st team was reformed with local Shiphamite born and bred Paul Drake taking up the helm once again. Joining Drake will be a new management team consisting of James Nash, Jacob Durbin & Mark Bowker.
The aim is to not only re-establish the first team but create a club that will be around for the local community for generations to come with additional men’s teams, as well as bringing women’s and youth football to the village.
With the ground situated in the heart of the village, Shipham AFC has its routes within the community with many locals supporting the team in home matches.
The pitch itself is not what you might expect, with the nickname locally as the “slope” it proves a challenge to play on. Despite this the ethos of the club is to play good football and to improve year on year, not only the team but the facilities and the pitch itself.
So, if you find yourself at a loose end on a Saturday afternoon, come and support the team (you’ll be sure of a warm welcome). If you don’t enjoy the football, you’ll certainly be impressed with stunning views from the ground.
